Split PDF

Extract pages or ranges from a PDF file

Processed in your browser — 100% private

Splitting a PDF lets you extract specific pages from a long document — a single chapter, a signed page, a range of invoices — without dragging the whole file around. Our splitter runs in your browser and supports both single-page extraction and custom ranges, so you can output one file per page or group pages into multiple smaller PDFs. No upload, no account, no watermark on the output.

How to split a PDF

  1. Drop your PDF into the window.
  2. Choose "All pages" to split into one PDF per page, or "Custom range" to define your own.
  3. Download each split file, or grab them all in a ZIP archive.

Supported formats

Input: any standard PDF. Output: one or several PDFs, depending on your split settings.

Why split with converteo.app

  • Your PDF never leaves your browser — works for confidential documents.
  • Flexible ranges: "1-3, 5, 7-9" outputs three separate PDFs.
  • Preserves original page layout, fonts and embedded images.
  • No sign-up, no page limit, no server round-trip.

Split PDF — Frequently asked questions

What ranges can I use?
Separate ranges with commas. Examples: "1-5" (one PDF with pages 1 to 5), "1, 3, 5" (three single-page PDFs), "1-3, 7-9" (two PDFs — one with pages 1-3, another with 7-9).
Does splitting change page quality?
No. Splitting copies pages byte-perfect from the source PDF. Text, images and fonts are preserved exactly.
Can I split password-protected PDFs?
Not directly. Use our Unlock PDF tool first to remove the password locally, then split the unlocked file.
What's the maximum page count?
Limited only by your device's RAM. PDFs with 1,000+ pages split fine on modern laptops.
